Dabrafenib
Dabrafenib (Dabrafenib) is a targeted therapeutic medication, which is an oral BRAF protein kinase inhibitor. The BRAF protein is generally a part of the molecular chain, which transmits signals to tell the body’s cells how to grow and die. Dabrafenib may slow the growth of cancer by targeting this altered BRAF protein.
Dabrafenib
Dabrafenib is primarily used to treat inoperable or metastatic melanoma caused by BRAF gene mutations. As shown by the FDA-approved tests, the cancer must be BRAF-positive. Dabrafenib can also be used in combination with Trametinib (Mekinist) to treat metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). As shown by the FDA-approved tests, the cancer must be BRAF-positive.
How to take Dabrafenib (Dabrafenib):
Dabrafenib is an oral medication taken twice a day. It should be taken at least 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals.
