Patients can take traditional Chinese medicine formulas such as Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction and Fuyuan Huaxue Decoction according to their condition for adjustment. They should not eat foods such as fatty meat, butter, ice cream, etc., as these are not conducive to the circulation of Qi and blood.

3. Hyperlipidemia

Patients with hyperlipidemia have higher blood viscosity, excessive lipid deposition in the blood vessels, and can also cause the blood vessels at the root of the tongue to become thick and dark.

Patients need to take statins under the guidance of a doctor to lower blood lipids, and they can also take betablockers to lower triglycerides, thereby increasing blood viscosity in the body. In daily life, attention should be paid to light and healthy eating, avoiding high-cholesterol and greasy foods, and doing more exercise and physical activity.
