The basic concept of the Yinlingquan point

Yinlingquan point, a human acupoint, belongs to the Foot Taiyin Spleen Meridian, and is a Converging (water) point. It is quoted from ‘Ling Shu. Febrile Diseases’.

“Yinlingquan point”: “Yin”, water. “Ling”, a mound. “Quan”, a spring point. The name of this acupoint implies that the meridian water and the Spleen earth substance compounds that rise in the earth part of the Spleen Meridian converge and precipitate at this point. The substance of this point is the muddy compound flowing from the Dijin point. Because this point is located in the depression of the flesh, the muddy compound accumulates at this point, the water dampness overflow, and the Spleen earth substance accumulates in the shape of a mound inverted in the middle of the earth, so it is called. The meaning of Yinling is the same as that of Yinlingquan point.

Spleen Meridian Converging Point: Converge, merge. This point is the place where the Spleen earth particles in the Spleen Meridian Qi substance converge, so it is the Converging Point of the Spleen Meridian.

Yinlingquan point: The substance of this point is the muddy compound of the earth part of the Spleen Meridian, and the open output is the water dampness of the earth part. Compared with the cold and damp Qi of the Spleen Meridian itself, the liquid given by this point manifests the characteristics of the Yin and moist descent of water, and is poor in water.
