What causes blood in defecation?
Blood in defecation may be caused by hemorrhoids, as well as rectal polyps, rectal cancer, and other factors. Specific treatment requires confirmation through colonoscopy at a hospital.
1. Hemorrhoids: Hemorrhoids are common perianal diseases. The bleeding in hemorrhoid patients is mainly caused by the rupture of hemorrhoidal veins, with the main symptoms being bleeding, painless dripping, and the presence of flesh balls at the anus.
2. Rectal Polyps: For patients with rectal polyps, the rectal polyps are stimulated during defecation, leading to local rupture and causing bloody stools.
3. Rectal Cancer: Rectal cancer is a malignant tumor occurring in the rectum. The malignant tumor invades the blood vessels under the mucosa, causing vessel rupture and ultimately leading to rectal bleeding.
