Because of their low efficiency, they cannot be used as the key method for removing formaldehyde.
So how can formaldehyde be removed reasonably?
Method one: Natural ventilation. Although this method is old hat, it cannot be denied that it is indeed effective and can be used in both new and old houses. However, we should try to increase the frequency of natural ventilation rather than always keeping the windows open. Even opening the windows for a while each day is very good. But the uncertain weather limits the time for natural ventilation, which is only a temporary way to reduce the indoor formaldehyde concentration.
Method two: Using raw materials such as activated carbon, which have countless tiny pores, can remove formaldehyde based on the principle of adsorbing organic molecules. The diameter of activated carbon can accommodate harmful substance molecules, removing polar molecules such as formaldehyde and xylene, so that they cannot escape back into the air. However, it should be noted that the service life of activated carbon is relatively short, reaching saturation in 2 to 3 months, so it is necessary to replace new activated carbon regularly.
Method three: Coconut activated carbon. It is an upgraded version of activated carbon, made from coconut shell as raw material, after high-temperature activation and carbonization. It is also a new type of activated carbon containing photocatalytic deodorization and carbon fiber materials. Its adsorption capacity for organic waste gas is 5 times that of general activated carbon, with faster adsorption speed. Compared with general activated carbon, it has stronger adsorption capacity and a longer service life.
