Low, moderate, high, very high fever
The degree of fever should be determined by measuring body temperature under the armpit. Low fever is generally between 37.3 and 38 degrees, moderate fever is between 38.1 and 39 degrees, high fever is between 39.1 and 41 degrees, and very high fever is above 41 degrees. It is necessary to choose an appropriate method for treatment according to one’s own condition.
1. Low fever: Low fever may be caused by inflammation in the body, mostly due to bacterial or viral infections of the respiratory tract, or it may be caused by diseases such as tuberculosis or low immunity. It can be improved by using cold compresses or antipyretic patches.
2. Moderate fever: Moderate fever may be caused by long-term exposure to a humid and warm environment, or it may be caused by long-term consumption of greasy and spicy foods. Antipyretic drugs can be used for treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
3. High fever: High fever may be caused by acute high fever due to infectious diseases, or it may be caused by chronic high fever due to symptoms such as sepsis and rheumatoid arthritis. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and antipyretic drugs should be used to improve the condition.
4. Very high fever: Very high fever may be caused by hemolytic reactions due to incompatibility of blood types during blood transfusion, or it may be caused by severe toxic pneumonia. It can be relieved by injecting adrenal cortical hormones intravenously.
